(FULL) Van Vliet Old Growth Snowshoe (Rescheduled from 2/6 due to frigid temps)

Designated a State Natural Area in 2013, the Van Vliet Hemlocks are a beautiful example of an old growth forest in the Northwoods. Join a naturalist and learn about this unique habitat and some interesting winter animal adaptations during this fun snowshoe. This 2-ish mile snowshoe is moderately strenuous due to the rolling terrain of the area. Registered participants should meet at the East Van Vliet Trailhead in Presque Isle at 1 pm. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by February 26. Saturday, 1 - 3 pm    Free - Sponsored by the Friends of Van Vliet Hemlocks
