Nature Poetry Workshop with John Bates and Julia Walsh **CANCELLED**

Come to this day of reverencing words and contemplating the goodness of nature's wonders! With naturalist and experienced poet John Bates, along with writer Julia Walsh, FSPA from Marywood and a Discovery Center Naturalist, we’ll discuss samples of nature poetry, go on a guided nature walk, study a bit of writing technique, be challenged by a writing prompt and spend time in nature writing. At the end of the session we’ll share our creations and give each other feedback. This workshop is appropriate for poets at all levels.  Bring a lunch.  Meet at the Discovery Center, and we will spend some time at Marywood. Pre-register by 8/3. $35/person.
