CANCELLED Hiking Within the Lost Canoe Lake State Natural Area

The Lost Canoe SNA comprises 1,119 acres and completely surrounds Pallette Lake and portions of the shorelines of Escanaba and Lost Canoe Lakes. We’ll hike a 4.5-mile loop of the Escanaba Trail around the 173-acre pristine Pallette Lake.  The terrain is lovely and rolling, so this is a more strenuous hike
– bring walking poles if you wish. Much of the forest community is dominated by an older hardwood forest with occasional large pines, and the bird life is rich and diverse. This program is sponsored by the Tom and Barbara Olson Education Fund. Pack binoculars, water, bug repellent, sunscreen, and a
