Solar Exploration with NASA Volunteer, Jim Head

Join the Northwoods Explores of Space & Astronomy for the afternoon, and view the Sun's Chromosphere safely through a dedicated Lunt Solar Telescope. If the sun is active we might see a solar flare on the limb of the sun that's larger than planet Earth! We will discuss how stars are formed and compare our Sun to others along with our amazing Milky Way Galaxy.
