Description

Did you know that we have been ‘tagging’ monarchs for years at the Center?  Putting tiny stickers on the late summer migrating generation provides incredible citizen science data about their population and migration habits.  Join Naturalist Licia for this fun hybrid program.  Prior to this in-person tagging program, Licia will email you a link to a virtual program where she describes the incredible life cycle, adaptations, migration and more of the amazing monarch butterfly.  For this in-person portion of the program, learn how to tag a monarch and assist Licia as she tags resident monarch butterflies for release.  Fun for all ages!  Thanks to a grant from Cellcom Green Gifts, this program is offered to the public free of charge!  Registration required by 8/24.

**Please bring a facial covering to wear when we cannot be socially distant from one another**   Please read our program and event registration and cancellation policy here.
